Google’s Gemini Intelligence Eligibility Bars Most 2025 Flagship Phones

Google unveiled Gemini Intelligence as an on-device AI suite that can automate multi-step tasks, generate contextual home-screen widgets, and improve Gboard voice typing. To run locally, the suite requires a flagship-grade processor, at least 12 GB RAM, AI Core, and Gemini Nano v3 or newer. It also mandates five Android OS upgrades, six years of quarterly security patches, low-crash-rate targets, spatial audio, HDR, low-light camera performance, and AVF/pKVM support.

Leaked specs for the base Pixel 11 indicate only 8 GB RAM, missing the 12 GB floor.
