Putin Simplifies Citizenship

Russian milbloggers denounced Army General Valery Gerasimov’s claims of advances near Kupyansk as unfounded.
President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on May 15 simplifying Russian citizenship for Transnistria residents, removing residency and language exam requirements.
Milbloggers said Russian forces hold no consolidated positions in Kupyansk and are only kilometres from Shyikivka and Velyka Shapkivka.
The decree follows a May 13 State Duma bill authorizing extraterritorial military actions to protect Russian citizens abroad.
