Love Cubed Launches Horror-Thriller “Controllers” at Cannes Market

At the Cannes Market, Budapest-based Hero Squared introduced Love Cubed’s upcoming Canadian-Hungarian co-production “Controllers.” Directed by first-time feature filmmaker Adam Azimov, the horror-thriller follows two sisters isolated on a remote farm after a devastating outbreak, confronting infected “Controllers” who can manipulate others through touch when a stranger arrives and destabilizes their fragile dynamic.

Love Cubed, founded by former Focus Features executive Jonathan Halperyn and former Korda Studios executive Daniel Kresmery, offers bespoke production for commercials, music videos, and independently financed features. The label has produced five lower-budget features, nine high-end commercials, and earned a 2026 Grammy nomination for OK Go’s single-take video “Love.” Hero Squared’s portfolio exceeds 30 features and series, including a multinational shoot for the Las Vegas Sphere with Lenovo and Formula 1.
