Channing Tatum-Led Film “Isle of Man” Begins Production on Iconic TT Race

Amazon MGM Studios’ feature “Isle of Man” started filming on Friday on the Isle of Man. The story follows the historic TT motorcycle race. It is directed by Reid Carolin, who co-wrote the script with Jason Keller and Bryan Johnson. The cast includes Channing Tatum, Eve Hewson, Ciarán Hinds, May Calamawy and Ruaridh Mollica. Financing comes from Free Association (Tatum, Carolin), Brad Pitt’s Plan B, Entertainment 360’s Guymon Casady and Keller’s company.

The TT (Tourist Trophy) is the world’s oldest continuously running motorsport event, predating Formula 1, World Endurance and MotoGP. Riders tackle a 37-mile mountain course at speeds near 200 mph, making it a unique test of skill and bravery.

Ciarán Hinds, Oscar-nominated for “Belfast,” joins after starring in “The Narrow Road to the Deep North.” May Calamawy, the first Arab and Egyptian superhero in the MCU’s “Moon Knight,” brings experience from Hulu’s “Ramy” and New Line’s “The Mummy.” Ruaridh Mollica, known for “Sebastian” and the upcoming Marvel series “Vision Quest,” completes the principal cast. Producers include Free Association, Plan B, Entertainment 360 and Amazon MGM Studios.

Filming follows a safety framework created with stunt, medical and motorsport-safety experts. Measures include on-track safety supervision, mandatory cast and crew briefings, embedded medical support, controlled-access filming zones and coordinated safety management with TT officials, local authorities and Amazon MGM Studios’ standards.
