NBA Schedules Spurs-Pelicans Regular-Season Games in Paris and Manchester for January 2027

The NBA announced the San Antonio Spurs will host the New Orleans Pelicans at Accor Arena in Paris on Jan 14, 2027, and at Co-op Live in Manchester on Jan 17, 2027. These will be the league’s sixth Paris regular-season game and the first in Manchester.

NBA Europe games began with a 2025 Paris series between the Spurs and Indiana Pacers. The 2025-26 season added Berlin, London and Mexico City. In May 2026 the league announced the 2027 Paris-Manchester games and a separate European league targeting a possible fall 2027 launch.

French star Victor Wembanyama will play his first NBA game in France with the Spurs; the Pelicans will field All-Stars Zion Williamson and Dejounte Murray. The Spurs have played ten European games (six in France) and the Pelicans will make their third and fourth European appearances. The NBA previously staged five regular-season games in Paris and 19 in England. The events aim to expand the fan base in France and the UK, deliver NBA Cares youth clinics and health-wellness programs, and test the proposed European league, which has drawn over $1 billion in prospective franchise investment.

NBA Europe & Middle East director George Aivazoglou said the games show strong momentum for basketball. Spurs CEO RC Buford called the Paris return and Manchester debut an “incredible honor.” Pelicans EVP Joe Dumars highlighted the franchise’s role in NBA global growth, and Pelicans governor Gayle Benson linked the events to cultural and economic ties after the New Orleans Saints’ NFL match in Paris.

Both games will be televised in more than 200 territories, with ticket and VIP packages sold via NBA.com. The league continues to refine plans for the NBA Europe league, targeting a 2027-28 launch and evaluating Paris and Manchester as franchise sites. Additional regular-season games are scheduled for Berlin and Paris in the 2027-28 season.
