Oakland Athletics' $2 Billion Las Vegas Stadium on Track for 2028 Opening

The Oakland Athletics are building a $2 billion, 33,000-seat domed stadium on the Las Vegas Strip adjacent to Bally’s development. Project director Tyler Van Eeckhaut said the lower-suite level is progressing substantially. Buttress work is complete and the upper deck rose in April. A southeast parking garage will open with 1,500 spaces, later expanding to 2,500. A northwest plaza may be needed pending financing.

After 57 seasons in Oakland, the Athletics moved to a temporary home at West Sacramento’s Triple-A stadium. Groundbreaking on the Las Vegas stadium occurred on June 23, and a Ballpark Experience Center opened in December. The club will play six regular-season games next month at Las Vegas Ballpark as construction continues.
