Historical Context

In 1993 Rhonda Revelle became head coach of Nebraska’s softball program, which had risen from a 1977 Title IX-created varsity team. She guided the Huskers to their first Women’s College World Series in 1998 and, after joining the Big Ten, to a record-setting 2026 season that posted a .878 regular-season win percentage, a 23-win conference record and her 1,200th career victory.
