Canada Signs LNG
- Canada will sign a 1 million-ton yearly LNG deal with Germany’s SEFE, announced 27 May 2026.
- The C$10 billion Ksi Lisims terminal, approved for 12 million tons annually, will use the 900-km Prince Rupert and planned 450-km North Coast pipelines.
- Federal Natural Resources Minister Tim Hodgson will unveil the agreement in Vancouver, naming SEFE—nationalized for €6.3 billion in 2022—as the offtake partner, while Prime Minister Mark Carney says it furthers his goal to double non-U.S. energy exports.
