Fix Auto Expands into New Zealand with First Collision Center in Auckland

Fix Auto launched its first New Zealand franchise, Fix Auto Penrose, in Auckland. The shop is owned by Dean and Emma Letcher, whose combined collision-repair experience exceeds 25 years. The Penrose center is Fix Auto’s first location in the country and part of a planned four-center rollout, with three more sites expected within two months. The expansion builds on NOVUS Glass, a glass-repair network that has operated in New Zealand for decades, joined the Fix Network in 2017, and now runs more than 60 locally owned outlets. Fix Auto’s global footprint now exceeds 875 locations in 10 countries, underscoring the brand’s rapid international growth.

The opening coincides with a strong rebound in New Zealand’s new-vehicle market. May 2026 registrations rose 18.1 % year-on-year to 11,296 units, marking the fifth consecutive month of growth and the strongest May performance for passenger cars since 2022. Electric-vehicle demand accelerated, with Tesla registering 490 units and BYD 471 units—both up sharply from the previous year. Toyota remains the market leader with 1,468 registrations (18 % share), while Chinese manufacturers collectively account for roughly one-fifth of passenger sales, reflecting the growing influence of Asian brands in the market.
