Australia Growth Slows
- Australia’s economy grew 0.3% in the March quarter, annual GDP 2.5% below the Reserve Bank’s 2.6% forecast.
- The Reserve Bank raised the cash rate to 4.35% in May, its third 2026 increase.
- Australia posted its first trade deficit since December 2017 as imports rose 1.4% on fuel-price and AI demand.
