Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi and Rodrigo De Paul will lead Argentina, while Inter Miami goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair represents Canada. New York City FC’s Matt Freese and Charlotte FC’s Tim Ream are among the eight U.S. MLS players. Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Sebastian Berhalter, with six goals and seven assists in 14 league games, will debut after starting the United States’ 3–2 friendly win over Senegal, where he logged the most minutes of any U.S. player. Paraguay’s MLS contingent includes Andrés Cubas (Vancouver Whitecaps), Matías Galarza and Miguel Almirón (both Atlanta United).
