Widow’s Bay Episode 8 — “Your Baggage”: The Boogeyman Returns and the Curse Persists

After the party-like celebration that follows the defeat of immortal founder Richard Warren, the masked local serial killer known as the Boogeyman breaks out of his sealed back-road home and invades Patricia (Kate O’Flynn)’s bedroom. Patricia escapes with a rechargeable taser, runs through the dark streets of Widow’s Bay, and is pursued in a Michael-Myers-style chase that culminates at a gas station. She ignites the Boogeyman with gasoline, then subdues him with a shotgun, keeping the weapon trained on his head through an ambulance, a morgue and finally a crematorium until his remains turn to ash. Sheriff Bechir Clemmons (Kevin Carroll) is wounded, a paramedic is killed, and Wyck (Stephen Root) discovers the Boogeyman’s return before anyone else. The episode ends with Wyck telling Mayor Tom Loftis (Matthew Rhys) that “It’s not over,” as a storm gathers overhead.
