FIFA Bans Bottles
- FIFA announced that, from 11 June 2026, fans at the World Cup cannot bring reusable bottles, cups, jars or cans into stadiums.
- FIFA cited safety concerns over fans throwing objects and said water will be sold inside stadiums at consistent prices despite the ban.
- Health experts, including Professor Ollie Jay (University of Sydney) and Dr. Theodore Keeping (Imperial College London), warned the ban could raise heat-related illness for children and the elderly.
