Story summary
- On June 5 1968, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, the Democratic presidential hopeful, was shot at Los Angeles’ Ambassador Hotel by 24-year-old Palestinian-Jordanian Sirhan Sirhan. Kennedy succumbed to his wounds the next day. Sirhan was arrested, convicted of first-degree murder in 1969, and sentenced to life imprisonment.
