Pentagon Expands Blacklist
- On 10 June 2026 the U.S. Department of Defense expanded its blacklist of Chinese military-linked firms to 188 companies.
- The update added Alibaba, Baidu and BYD and reinstated Chang Xin Memory Technologies and Yangtze Memory Technologies.
- Rep. John Moolenaar warned U.S. firms to stop dealing with the companies, prompting the Pentagon to bar contracts this month.
- China’s ministry called the blacklist discriminatory and said Beijing opposes U.S. targeting of its firms.
