CFTC Proposes Rules
- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) proposed new prediction-market rules on June 10, 2026.
- The draft permits sports contracts based on scores, rejects injury or officiating contracts, and declares election contracts not “gaming” while opening a 45-day public comment period.
- Gary Kalbaugh says each contract will still face a case-by-case public-interest review as Kalshi and Polymarket partner with Nasdaq and Dow Jones to broaden market data.
