BYD's Global Push: Ambitions, Expansion, and Scrutiny

At its Shenzhen shareholder meeting, BYD announced a target to be the top global automaker by scale within five years, aiming to overtake Toyota. Founder and chair Wang Chuanfu cited battery advances, fast-charging, and overseas production as drivers.
