Trump Targets Protesters

The Trump administration has shifted from targeting universities to prosecuting individual protesters with felony charges under its new policy.

Mariam Odeh Indicted

Mariam Odeh, a 24-year-old activist, briefly worked for Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, receiving $154 on March 3 and $593 on March 13.
A jury indicted Odeh and seven for threatening Michigan officials and vandalizing Detroit Jewish sites after Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attacks.
James C. Thomas was appointed defense counsel for Odeh in the federal indictment case.
Rep. Haley Stevens’ campaign spokesperson said antisemitism and political intimidation have no place in Michigan.
