U.S. Production Rises
- U.S. industrial production rose 0.1 percent in May 2026, the third gain in four months, per the Federal Reserve (Fed).
- Year-over-year output rose 1.7 percent, the fastest annual increase since January 2026.
- Durable-goods manufacturing grew 0.8 percent, led by a 0.9 percent rise in computer and electronic products and a 2.4 percent jump in semiconductors.
- Nondurable-goods output slipped 0.9 percent as petroleum and coal products fell 3.0 percent and textiles dropped 2.4 percent.
