Arianespace Sets Record
- Arianespace launched an Ariane 64 rocket from the Guiana Space Centre’s ELA-4 pad on 17 June 2026, delivering 36 Amazon LEO satellites.
- The four upgraded P160C boosters, one metre longer than the P120C and carrying 14 tonnes more propellant, raise Ariane 6 performance by 10-15 percent.
- The 22-tonne payload set a new European single-launch cargo record, the heaviest ever placed on an Ariane vehicle.
- ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher said the launch proves Ariane 6’s modular versatility.
