HPV Vaccine Saves
- Researchers at Queen Mary University of London reported zero cervical cancer deaths among English women aged 20-24 between 2020 and 2024.
- The study estimated that about 23 deaths would have occurred without the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, which cut deaths by 80% in 2015-2019 versus earlier years.
- Cancer Research UK chief executive Michelle Mitchell said the findings indicate a future with almost no cervical cancer is now within reach.
