Segro Rejects Takeover
- Segro’s board unanimously rejected Prologis’s £12.6 billion takeover proposal, which offered 0.084 of Prologis shares per Segro share and valued Segro at 925 pence—a 24.6% premium to the 742 pence close.
- The deal would have given Segro shareholders about 10.5% of the group and created a REIT with a $140.9 billion market capitalisation.
- Prologis must announce an offer or walk away by 5 pm on 22 July 2026, after which Segro shares rose roughly 16%-20% to 870-892 pence.
