UK Economy Grows
- Britain’s economy grew 0.6% in Q1 2026, with services up 0.8% led by professional activities (+2.3%) and wholesale trade (+1.8%).
- Construction, production and most GDP subsectors each rose 0.2% while consumption, government spending and capital formation increased by 0.6%, 1.3% and 0.4%.
- The Bank of England kept its rate at 3.75% in June while the Office for National Statistics cut the 2025 growth forecast to 1.3%.
