6/30/2026, 1:39:12 PM

Core Event – Citywide Fan Celebration

South Korean group BTS, together with agency HYBE (formerly Big Hit Music), will stage “BTS THE CITY ARIRANG LONDON” from 4 July to 10 July 2026. The week-long program turns central London into a multi-site fan experience that runs alongside BTS’s two-night concerts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 6 – 7 July. Key components include music-video screenings, a photo zone and the “Iconic Looks” exhibition of the 2019 Wembley stage costumes at the Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCCUK); a deep-red illumination of the London Eye on 6 July; a River Thames “ARIRANG” boat ride; and the ARMY ‘MADANG’ hub at Outernet from 8 – 10 July featuring a Samsung Galaxy Experience Booth, a Korean Tourism Organization pop-up, and a Nike × BTS pop-up store. Additional pop-ups operate at Future Stores (26 June – 12 July) and Westfield London (4 – 5 July), while a food-and-beverage market partners with Hongdae Pocha, Deun Deun and DOPI.

Timeline of Activities

Official Statements & Responses

Big Hit Music announced on 29 June that BTS will launch “BTS THE CITY ARIRANG” in London, calling the project “an unprecedented undertaking that will transform central London into a multisensory experience space.” The Korean Cultural Centre UK confirmed that its “Iconic Looks” exhibition will feature the Dior-designed costumes created by Kim Jones for the 2019 Wembley show. HYBE’s Weverse notice stressed that reservations are required for certain venues and that on-site capacity may be limited.

Why It Matters

The program blends BTS’s music with Korean cultural symbols, promoting tourism through the Korean Tourism Organization pop-up and supporting local businesses via collaborations with independent food and beverage venues. By integrating iconic landmarks such as the London Eye and the River Thames, the activation extends the concert experience beyond the stadium and demonstrates the commercial potential of citywide entertainment models.

What’s Next

After the London week, BTS will perform at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 6 and 7 July and then continue the ARIRANG world tour with dates in Asia and North America later in 2026. HYBE has indicated that future “The City” projects may be introduced in additional global cities, preserving the model of immersive, citywide fan engagement tied to the group’s touring schedule.
