UK Launches Water
- The UK has launched a £75 million “Let’s Save Water” campaign, funded by water companies together with Ofwat, the Environment Agency, the Met Office and delivered by 23red (Capgemini).
- The programme aims to lower average daily use from about 140 litres to 112 litres per person, although research shows most people underestimate their use five-fold.
- England may face a 5 billion-litre shortfall by 2050, with 19 % of water lost to leaks.
