WHO Launches Trial
- WHO launched the PARTNERS trial in Democratic Republic of Congo for Bundibugyo Ebola.
- The first participant enrolled on July 2 at the Ituri treatment center.
- The trial tests MBP134, remdesivir and its combo against standard care, allows 1,200 patients until more than 1,000 enrollments give a clear result.
- The outbreak has infected more than 1,460 people, killed 447 and adds 38 daily cases while coordination involves WHO and Congo’s INRB.
