ATP Halves Doubles
- The ATP announced that, starting in 2028, men’s doubles draws will be halved.
- The plan reduces Masters 1000 doubles fields from 32 to 16 pairs and lower-tier events from 16 to 8.
- Prize-money will shift to a 90/10 split, giving doubles only 5 % of the total pot.
- Former World No. 6 Édouard Roger-Vasselin warned the cuts could end viable careers for doubles specialists outside the top 30.
