Celyn Jones Begins Filming “Mountain” in Wales

Principal photography for Celyn Jones’s upcoming drama “Mountain” started on Anglesey, North Wales, at the end of June 2026. Set in 1980s Wales, the story follows GG, a neglected boy, as he searches for friendship and community, eventually crossing paths with Bill, an isolated mountain dweller.

Jones previously co-directed “The Almond and the Seahorse,” co-wrote “The Vanishing” (starring Gerard Butler) and “Set Fire to the Stars” (featuring Elijah Wood as poet John M. Brinnin). He calls “Mountain” a personal project linked to his Holyhead hometown.
