Patriot Front Flash March on Independence Day

Patriot Front split from Vanguard America in 2017 after the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally. The Anti-Defamation League, Southern Poverty Law Center, and George Washington University label it a white supremacist, neo-fascist group seeking a white ethnostate. Internal documents show over 540 members nationwide and a recruitment goal of 600 by July 4, 2026. Estimates of march participants range from about 100 to several hundred.

MPD said it was “tracking First Amendment activities that occurred this morning in Eastern Market neighborhood” and affirmed that “MPD recognizes the rights of individuals to peacefully express their views and remains committed to maintaining public safety and security for D.C. residents and visitors.” No arrests were made. White House Freedom 250, which includes a July 4 “Salute to America Celebration & Fireworks” on the National Mall and remarks by President Donald Trump, did not comment on the march.
