Historical Context

The Turkish Space Agency (TUA) was created by presidential decree on 13 December 2018 and placed under the Ministry of Industry and Technology. It succeeded the Ministry’s Department for Aviation and Space Technologies, collaborates with TÜBITAK UZAY, and signed cooperation pacts with Ukraine, Hungary and Kazakhstan.
