Marine Gains Citizenship
- Two historic Independence Day naturalizations were held at Washington’s Mount Vernon and Jefferson’s Monticello, marking the 250th birthday.
- On July 4, 2026, 150 at Mount Vernon and 74 at Monticello took the Oath of Allegiance, becoming U.S. citizens.
- U.S. Marine Sergeant Diakaria Sangare, Guinea native, received citizenship in dress blues and saluted flag.
