Katherine Legge Aims for Historic Indy 500–Coca-Cola 600 Double

Legge will attempt to race the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on May 24, 2024, driving the No. 11 A.J. Foyt Motorsports entry at Indy and the No. 78 Live Fast Motorsports car at Charlotte. She is among 33 drivers vying for the Indy field and 41 drivers for the 40-car NASCAR field.

Only five drivers have attempted both races since 1994; Tony Stewart is the only one to finish top six in both (2001). Janet Guthrie failed to qualify for Indy in 1976, then raced World 600, becoming first woman on a NASCAR superspeedway and later qualifying for Indy.
