West End Revival of “Rent” Announces Full Cast and Extended Run

The 30th-anniversary West End revival of Jonathan Larson’s musical “Rent” will open at London’s Duke of York’s Theatre—soon to be renamed the Tom Stoppard Theatre—after previews begin on September 26, 2026. Opening night is set for October 8, 2026, and the run has been extended through March 27, 2027.

Broadway and “Stranger Things” star Gaten Matarazzo makes his West End debut as Mark Cohen. He is joined by Travis Ross (Roger), Bella Brown (Mimi), Billy Nevers (Collins), Lazy Violet (Maureen), Danielle Fiamanya (Joanne), Jeevan Braich (Angel) and Joaquin Pedro Valdes (Benny). Direction is by Luke Sheppard; choreography by Tom Jackson Greaves; set design by David Woodhead; costume design by Gabriella Slade; lighting by Howard Hudson; audio and sound design by Paul Gatehouse; video design by George Reeve and Nathan Amzi; makeup and hair by Jackie Saundercock. Musical supervision is provided by Bill Sherman, with Katy Richardson as musical director and associate musical supervisor. The intimacy director is Asha Jennings-Grant, associate director Priya Patel Appleby, and dialect coach Joe Trill. Production is by Chris Harper Productions, Sonia Friedman Productions, Winkler & Smalberg, and Julie Larson, in association with the Hope Mill Theatre.
