- USA, Japan and South Korea signed an SMR memorandum in Ankara with Marco Rubio, Motegi Toshimitsu and Cho Hyun.
- The pact targets Indo-Pacific nations and allocates $10 million to the State Department’s FIRST programme for SMR training.
- GE Vernova, Hitachi, Samsung C&T and Poland’s SGE will advance the 300 MWe BWRX-300 SMR design in Europe.
- SGE plans to install 14 BWRX-300 units in the UK, delivering 4.2 GW—about 11 % of the country’s power demand.
