Defence Infrastructure installs

An 18-tonne prefabricated concrete panel was installed on the fourth block at Naval Base Clyde on 9 July 2026.
The £166 million project, delivered by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation with Kier Graham Defence, uses sections to speed construction and provide rapid accommodation for submariner trainees, said Dan Ross.
The schedule calls for two trainee blocks to be ready later in 2026, the other two in early 2027, and adds floating docks for Dreadnought-class and SSN-AUKUS submarines.
