Teton Ridge Entertainment Moves Forward with Roberto Clemente Biopic

Teton Ridge Entertainment has tapped director-writer-producer Reinaldo Marcus Green to helm a feature film chronicling the life of Puerto Rican Hall of Fame baseball star Roberto Clemente. The project will be written by Green, who will also direct and produce, with Ben Silverman, Jay Weisleder, Chiara Bernasconi and Strike Three Films joining as producers. The film will draw on the definitive biography *Clemente: The Passion and Grace of Baseball’s Last Hero* by David Maraniss and will receive exclusive access to the Clemente Museum’s collection of memorabilia.

The initiative follows a recent Los Angeles Superior Court decision granting summary judgment to Teton Ridge, dismissing all claims by Inside the Park, LLC that challenged the company’s exclusive control of Clemente’s life rights. The court affirmed that Inside the Park holds no claim to those rights, clearing the way for Teton Ridge to develop the biopic. The company also secured the biography rights and partnered with the museum, positioning the project for comprehensive storytelling.
