Fine Point Films Invests in DMC Entertainment to Boost Irish Production Capacity

Fine Point Films, led by producer Trevor Birney, has invested in DMC Entertainment, the Dublin-based arm of the production company founded by Michael Fassbender, Conor McCaughan and Daniel Emmerson. The deal, announced at the Galway Film Fleadh where the Irish breakout “Kneecap” premiered in 2024, adds executive-producer Tamryn Reinecke of Robin Fox Productions to the venture. The partnership is intended to “expand their capacity” and accelerate a slate of new projects across both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

DMC’s recent portfolio includes the SXSW breakout “LifeHack,” the Netflix series “The Kitchen,” the BAFTA-nominated Sundance winner “Scrapper,” and the multiple-BAFTA-nominated co-production “Calm With Horses.” Birney’s own credits span documentaries such as “Saipan,” “Let the Canary Sing,” and “No Stone Unturned,” and he is slated to produce director Rich Peppiatt’s second feature “Bad Bridgets.” Reinecke’s résumé features the Paramount+ thriller “The Day,” Channel 4 drama “Hunting Alice Bell,” the SXSW special-jury award “It Is In Us All,” and the 2022 Galway Film Fleadh best-film winner “Redemption of a Rogue.”
