Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall Tapped for Netflix’s “The Secret of Secrets” Series

Morgan Spector, known for his role as railroad tycoon George Russell on HBO’s *The Gilded Age*, is in negotiations to portray symbologist Robert Langdon in Netflix’s upcoming series adaptation of Dan Brown’s novel *The Secret of Secrets*. Rebecca Hall, who recently finished filming Ryan Murphy’s FX series *The Beauty*, is also in talks to play scientist Katherine Solomon, the female lead opposite Spector. The casting would constitute the first television acting collaboration for the real-life couple, who have previously appeared together on stage and in films such as the Broadway revival of *Machinal* and *Permission*.

*The Secret of Secrets* follows Langdon as he races against ancient forces to rescue Hall’s character and a groundbreaking manuscript that could alter humanity’s understanding of the mind. The novel, the sixth entry in Brown’s Robert Langdon series, was published by Doubleday in September 2026. The series will be co-created, written, and executive-produced by Brown and showrunner Carlton Cuse, with Emma Forman of Cuse’s Genre-Arts also serving as executive producer.

Filming is slated to begin this fall in Prague, the primary setting of the novel. The production timeline is designed to accommodate Spector’s ongoing commitments to *The Gilded Age*, which is expected to return for a fifth season after its fourth season releases this fall.
