EU Mandates USB-C
- Starting December 28, 2024, the European Union will require all new electronic devices, from smartphones to cameras, to feature USB-C charging ports. This bold move not only simplifies charging for consumers but also aims to cut down on e-waste, potentially saving users around €250 million each year. Laptops will follow suit by April 28, 2026.
