PinkPantheress to Make Feature-Film Acting Debut in Daniels’ Secret Universal Project

Multiplatinum British recording artist, songwriter and producer PinkPantheress — Victoria Walker — is slated to make her feature-film acting debut in a secret event movie directed by the Oscar-winning Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) for Universal Pictures. The film, produced by the Daniels and Jonathan Wang through their Playgrounds banner, is slated to open in theaters on November 19, 2027.

PinkPantheress burst onto the scene in 2021 via TikTok and SoundCloud, gaining attention for brief, sample-heavy tracks that blend R&B, alternative pop, and UK garage. Her eight-song album *Fancy That* runs just 20 minutes, and she has amassed 14.5 million social-media followers and 32.8 million monthly Spotify listeners. Recent honors include two Grammy nominations for “Illegal” (Best Dance Pop Recording) and *Fancy That* (Best Dance/Electronic Album), the BRIT Award for Producer of the Year (the first woman and youngest recipient at 25), Variety’s Young Hollywood Music Innovator of 2025, a 2025 Mercury Prize shortlist placement, the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Producer of the Year award, and a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

The secret film joins an announced ensemble featuring Matt Damon, Sandra Oh, Charles Melton, Sean Kaufman, Silvia Dionicio, Jackson Kelly, Kerrice Brooks, Thalia Dudek and Michael Gandolfini. Universal executives Sara Scott (EVP Production Development) and Jacqueline Garell (Director of Production Development) are overseeing the project.
