FIFA’s authorized resale site shows an additional 5,864 tickets. The cheapest resale tickets are category three, offered at the face value of $455 (£346) plus a 15 % FIFA fee. Several higher-category tickets are listed below their original purchase price; for example, a category one ticket originally sold for $1,125 (£855) is now listed at $659 (£500).
Pricing Dynamics and Fees
Resale prices are set by individual sellers and do not necessarily reflect actual transaction amounts. The platform adds a standard 15 % fee to each resale price. For the bronze-medal match, this means a buyer of a $455 ticket would pay an additional $68 (15 % of $455).
Availability and Cost of Final-Match Tickets
The World Cup final also remains unsold in part. Thirty-two of the most expensive tickets are still on general sale, ranging from $29,995 (£22,796) to $32,970 (£25,057). More than a thousand tickets are listed on the resale site, many near face value plus the FIFA fee. The original price for these tickets was $7,380 (£5,609); with the 15 % fee, the total cost rises by $1,107 (£841). The most expensive resale listing for the final is $2 million (£1.52 million) plus a $300,000 (£228,000) fee.
