Ed Harris Says He Was Misled About His Role in Apple TV’s “Dutton Ranch” Spinoff

At the Monday-night premiere of Apple TV’s “The Dink,” actor Ed Harris told *Variety* that he felt “misled” regarding the significance of his part in the “Yellowstone” spinoff titled “Dutton Ranch.” Harris said that midway through filming Season 1 he was urging his team to “get me the fuck out of here,” indicating deep dissatisfaction with the scope of his character.

“Dutton Ranch” follows series-regulars Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) as they leave Montana to establish a ranch in South Texas. The ensemble also includes Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Annette Bening. The project is a spinoff of the long-running “Yellowstone” franchise and is produced for Apple TV+ by Paramount, creator Taylor Sheridan, and 101 Studios.
