During the July 19 performance of the Eternal Sunshine Tour at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., a malfunction with the show’s production mechanics forced a pause midway through the set. After informing the audience of the issue, Grande invited fans to choose an off-set song. A fan suggested “Be Alright” from her 2016 album *Dangerous Woman*, and she launched into an a cappella rendition, handing the microphone to the crowd before resuming the planned set once the problem was resolved.

The Brooklyn concert was Grande’s fifth and final Barclays Center appearance. The tour, which began on June 6 in Oakland, Calif., has already featured a similar technical hiccup on July 13, when the audio from her loop machine cut off during “Eternal Sunshine,” prompting the audience to sing along. The July 19 show also experienced flickering lights and screens on the right side of the stage.

Grande framed the interruption as an opportunity for closer interaction, noting that the delay allowed “more time together.” After the a cappella segment she announced that the issue had been fixed and the concert would continue. Later, she posted on Instagram, expressing affection for New York and Brooklyn and thanking fans for “five beautiful shows.” Her remarks emphasized gratitude toward the audience and the tour crew.
