He indicated the project will be “eventually” realized and may focus on material written by co-creator Fabian Nicieza and writer Gerry Duggan, describing these as “deep cuts” missing from previous adaptations. Reynolds explained that while he is already drafting material for the character’s return, he does not intend to make Deadpool the central focus of the next film. This stance aligns with his earlier remarks in April, when he told “Sunday Today” that he envisions Deadpool primarily in group settings.
