The first incident occurred on July 19 in Chisinau when Moldovan police stopped a bus belonging to the Russian Embassy, purportedly to check documents. Russian officials claim the police removed the vehicle’s diplomatic license plates, used physical force against embassy staff, and threatened detention.

The second incident took place overnight on July 20–21 at the Leuseni border crossing. According to the Russian statement, embassy personnel transporting official cargo back to Russia were detained for more than four hours without justification.
