Neustrashimy Live-Fire
- The Russian frigate Neustrashimy conducted a live-fire drill 40 nm south of Plymouth on 20 July 2026 and ordered HMS Tyne to move farther away.
- Royal Navy and a French aircraft tracked the 30-minute exercise and radioed the frigate.
- Defence secretary Wes Streeting called the drill “performative and irresponsible” and warned Russia.
- Former army chief Lord Richard Dannatt said it was a show of Russian “muscles”.
