7/22/2026, 1:14:18 PM
Event Overview
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), its operator Keolis, and Gillette Stadium announced a dedicated round-trip commuter-rail service for BTS’s debut performances at Gillette Stadium on August 5 and August 6. The concerts are part of the 2026 Gillette Stadium Concert Series presented by Dunkin’ and represent the first and largest headlining K-pop shows at the venue.
Ticket Details and Purchase Process
Round-trip tickets for the special-event trains are priced at $20. They will be sold exclusively through the MBTA’s mTicket app beginning at 11 a.m. on July 22. Each concert requires a separate ticket; purchasers must select the correct date and buy the ticket before boarding. The MBTA, Keolis, and Gillette Stadium state that tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and sales will cease once the train reaches maximum capacity. Regular commuter-rail tickets and passes are not valid for these event trains.
Train Schedule and Logistics
The special-event trains will depart Boston’s South Station, stopping at Back Bay and Dedham Corporate Center before arriving at Foxboro Station. The posted schedule for both nights is:
- Depart South Station – 5:25 p.m.
- Depart Back Bay – 5:30 p.m.
- Depart Dedham Corporate Center – 5:45 p.m.
- Arrive Foxboro Station – 6:25 p.m.
After the concerts, the last regular weekday commuter-rail train leaves Foxboro at 10:49 p.m.; the special-event train will depart approximately 30 minutes later. Travelers returning to Boston must purchase a corresponding special-event ticket; a regular ticket will not grant access to the return service.
Official Statements
In a joint statement, the MBTA, Keolis, and Gillette Stadium emphasized that the trains are “special event trains” and that ticket sales will stop once capacity is reached.
Impact and Significance
The dedicated service aims to streamline transportation for the anticipated high-attendance BTS concerts, reducing reliance on personal vehicles and easing traffic around Foxboro Station. By offering a low-cost, coordinated rail option, the MBTA and its partners seek to accommodate fans while managing crowd flow for the historic K-pop events at Gillette Stadium.
