The authors note a shift toward full-cycle conservation. In the United States, the “Road to Recovery” initiative assembles scientists, governments, NGOs, landowners, and local communities into species-specific working groups. More than 50 international working groups are now formulating strategies for species ranging from bobolinks to lesser yellowlegs (Tringa flavipes) and evening grosbeaks (Coccothraustes vespertinus). Gaps in International Cooperation
