Dhani Harrison and Nigel Godrich Unveil Dragonflies Debut Album

British musician Dhani Harrison and veteran producer Nigel Godrich have formed the duo Dragonflies. Their debut, self-titled album will be released on September 18, 2026 through Dark Horse Records/BMG. The lead single “Slower” and its hand-drawn animation video, directed by Bristol animator RUFFMERCY, were released simultaneously.

Harrison, the son of former Beatle George Harrison, first connected with Godrich during the COVID-19 shutdown while seeking production advice for his 2023 solo album *Innerstanding*. Their conversations evolved into a studio partnership at Godrich’s Brixton space, where they began constructing songs from tape loops. Both artists have long-standing careers: Godrich is renowned for his work with Radiohead, Beck, and IDLES, while Harrison’s résumé includes solo releases, the bands thenewno2 and Fistful of Mercy, and extensive film- and TV-scoring.
