Netherlands Bans Settlement Goods
- Netherlands will ban imports, purchases and sales of goods from illegal Israeli settlements, effective 22 September 2026.
- Minister Tom Berendsen said violations carry up to six years in prison or a €103,000 ($117,000) fine.
- The decree bars Dutch firms abroad from brokering such trade, which includes avocados, dates, oranges, grapes, fresh herbs and wine from the Golan Heights.
- Geert Wilders said he was “deeply ashamed” of the decision.
